XCOM: Enemy Unknown Preview: A True X-COM Sequel? - Eurogamer

Eurogamer:

For fifteen years, those who grew up with righteously revered 1993 PC strategy-management-roleplayin g-everything game UFO: Enemy Unknown (aka X-COM) have been a faithful dog waiting by the door for their beloved master to come home. Every few years, that door has opened and the dog has jumped up excitedly. Is it him, is it him? No, it's an appalling first-person shooter. Smack! Bad dog! (PC, PS3, Xbox 360, XCOM: Enemy Unknown)

I dare say this is my most anticipated game this year.
The worst part of being a gamer right now is having your favorite genre be strategy, but being stuck on consoles.

I love strategy games too, Im sick of shooters, if you are into strategy you should get a pc. The total war series alone should last a couple if years gameplay!

I too am hyped for this game. Strategy games on consoles are fine "IF" they use a turn based system...RTS games tend to suffer greatly due to the lack of a Mouse being standard on all consoles. Civ Revolution was a great example of how a great turn based strategy game can thrive on a console.
