GAME in Administration, 277 Stores Closing Down Listed, 2,100 Jobs Lost

GAME Group announced this morning that they have entered into administration and called upon those from PricewaterhouseCooper to do the deeds in cutting down losses to make the companies GAME and Gamestation attractive for a buyer. In doing so, 277 out of the 609 stores present in the UK are being (if not) closed down, strictly on those not profitable enough to continue trading. The CEO Ian Shepherd resigned with immediate effect as administrators pressed on to turn some fortune on what is left with the company. (GAME, Gamestation, Industry)

A change is needed for the company as I felt they were too out of touch with the market and changing industry. This painful wake-up call will hopefully probe for the group to improve their standings
