April 2012 New Releases: The Calm Before The AAA Storm

Trendy Gamers: April is definitely the calm before the AAA storm we will see in May. There are still some great games coming out this month though, such as a long-awaited Wii RPG, a sequel to an open world action game, a console port of a PC fantasy game, and the ability to control the force with your body. (3DS, Fallout and Oblivion Double Pack, iPad, iPhone, Kinect Star Wars, Nintendo DS, PC, Prototype 2, PS Vita, PS3, PSP, The Witcher 2: Assassins Of Kings, Wii, Xbox 360, Xenoblade Chronicles)

Ohh wow. Didn't know that Prototype is coming out next month. This title is slipping under the radar. Well, I'm more of an Infamous guy, anyways.

I'm thinking about picking up the Devil May Cry Collection and Prototype 2. Even though I watch The Walking Dead religiously, I'm not too sure on whether I should get the video game just yet.

I'm really excited for the Devil May Cry Collection. I'll probably just skip right to Dante's Awakening, but I'll eventually play the others.

Looking forward to getting my hands on Witcher 2 for the 360.

Prototype 2 looks like the most interesting one.

Loved prototype on the 360 when it debuted and hopefully part2 will be even better. I also very much enjoyed the infamos series and played both of them. I don't know why prototype and infamous get compared to 1 another as they really are not that similar. I also will be playing the Witcher2 for the first time as I really don't game on my computer other than building a park in rollercoater tycoon.

Trials evolution.

that list has very very few good games
TrendyGamers  +   1417d ago
It still does have some good ones to hold us over until May.

Are you looking forward to any games next month?
Shivan  +   1417d ago
most of the good titles are japan exclusive, and the US is thrown a few bones like disgaea 3, xenoblade, atelier.

Thats about it............

The amount of new titles this gen compared to last gen is shrinking fast as costs go up and companies go bamkrupt

Actually, Trials HD itself looks like a game that can hold up until the holiday period. The amount of content in this 15$ arcade game is just insane! The other arcade games also sound interesting (the splatters especially)

Also, waiting to see what The Witcher 2 Xbox version will be like, but I'll probably just go for the PC enhanced edition also releasing in April (surprised to see that it's not there).
