[H] - GeForce 9800 GX2 Exclusive Pics & Specs

[H]ard|OCP has the exclusive on NVIDIA's upcoming 9800 GX2 graphics card.

"The best way to think of the GeForce 9800 GX2 card is as an 8800 GPU that has been die shrunk to 65nm and placed in an SLI configuration in a "single" card. The 9800 GX2 is very reminiscent of 7950 GX2 of days past. SLi single card? NICE. Well I just got an 8800 GT 512MB anyways, and I'm not mad, it's pretty darn good for the cost.

Edit: Updated impressions. Why is it called the 9800GX2? It's two 8800's glued together. Plus, it will be limited by the 256 bit bus size. Nice one NVidia, I'll just buy 2 8800GT's because it will be the same size and almost the same power as this one for a lot less.

just upgrade to SLI with your current card when the gx2 comes out and youre still winning.
