Nice, Im glad to see tales sold 150k. It should slowly reach 200k in a few weeks. That should be enough for namco to know that we want the tales series back in the states so hopefully tales of innocence gets translated. Im seriously disappointed in silent hill sales. It a really good game and for it to sell that low is just disgusting.

thats what you get when a western dev is involved ( silent hill)

tales has always been a series people wanted.

It doesn't matter if a western dev is developing it. It was still a good game. If fans don't buy the game because of that then they might as well say good-bye to the silent hill series. Why should Konami keep making games for a series that doesn't sell.

It does matter because the western deb made the game worse...............

making profit is all that matters not units sold

Ignorance

You make it seem like all Western developers are bad. Generally, Western developed games sell much more than games developed in the East. Double Helix are the people to blame.

Silent Hill is developed by Western studios for years. The last Silent Hill actually developed by a Japanese studio was Silent Hill 4 back in 2004, and the series went downhill since the third game anyway, so it's not such a big loss (actually, there is a pretty good chance that the game is better than SH4, even if it doesn't stack up the classic SH2).

@kami

they really are bad,.......

and no in general they dont sell more nor make more profit. And since when is that a quality criteria? it isnt

@humbleopinion

No offense but after your ridiculous statements in that other thread I cant take you seriously

So your making excuses for the west now? the games suck more because?
humbleopinion  +   1126d ago
I don't say they suck more or less, I say they suck just about just as much as the latest Japanese games in the franchise, after the original developers lost their touch somewhere around the past gen.

And that's the sad thing about it: the western developers hired to these kind of games are mostly B list developers who don't have any proper game in their portfolio - and yet they deliver games of about the same quality as a Japanese studio which once considered the top in the genre.

Don't believe their lies. They are not a reliable source for sales informatino and they pull numbers out of thin air.
