Heartcore Gaming - MGS: Snake Eater 3D review

Heartcore Gaming's Sander takes a look at how well PS2 classic Metal Gear Solid: Snake Eater holds up on the Nintendo 3DS. The handheld's features add so much to the game that this is a clear winner over the version included in the MGS HD Collection for PS3 and Xbox 360. (3DS, Metal Gear Solid 3D: Snake Eater) 88/100

Not of huge fan of handheld gaming (though I do own a GA,NDS, and PSP)
But the 3DS is so compelling to me. I think Nintendo will allow 3DS owners to use their 3DS device, as a Wii U controller.

That would be a very cool development. Nintendo has always tried to incorporate their handhelds into the consoles. Think of the Gameboy converter for SNES and the GBA link cable. Sadly they never really seem to work out, so if they can combine the Wii U with the 3DS that would rock!

I've never been a big fan of these games, but I do like the idea of more quality/well-known titles moving to the 3DS.

How can you give this terrible port a 88? Anything higher than a 7, your lying to yourself!

6.5/10 for me...

Both Peace Walker on PSP and Snake Eater 3D are supposed to be 20 fps...why is that Snake Eater 3D looks like it's sub 20 fps all the time.... cut scenes are picture and picture!

It does have framerate problems but it never sub 20... that would be unplayable... its like 23-26 fps

It has already been proven by Digital Foundry that it does.

It is CAPPED at 20 fps, and that's the target AVG.

And no it doesn't go over 20 fps, that's just ur eyes being adjusted to 20 fps...which is hard when the frame rate keeps dropping...at least peace walker stays at a stable 20 fps....

For Shame Kojima...if the Vita version is anything less than 30 fps, I'm done with the series.
