MasonicGamer.com: At it’s heart, Risen 2 is a dark fantasy game, heading away from the traditional RPG genre and into something that’s more steeped in semi-realism than running around a spider infested elven forest picking Whatjamacallum flowers for Lord and Lady Perrywinkle-Fatbottom the 3rd to have in their afternoon stew. Piranha Bytes pride themselves on dark, gritty fantasy and their titles doesn’t disappoint in that department.
