Late last night, at a Gamestop on the Upper West Side of New York City, local New York gamer, Samuel Buzby, went home with the Kid Icarus: Uprising national crown. Beating out players from all over the country, Mr. Buzby claimed the top prize, and the one-of-a-kind trophy by demonstrating his Kid Icarus multiplayer skills, and besting eleven other gamers in a six-round final match.
BLG writes: "While it didn’t sell as well as the Nintendo DS, the Nintendo 3DS was nonetheless a wonderful system. And, while this may be a hot take, it’s easily my favorite handheld. Even more than a decade removed from launch, the system’s library has so many titles that feel as fresh today as they did back at release. While it was hard to narrow down, these 30 Nintendo 3DS games are emblematic of the system’s success."
From Zelda to Metroid, Nintendo Everything goes over the top five Nintendo franchises that have made the jump from 2D to 3D the best.
Nintendo has always been known for flaunting fine-tuned gameplay over full-blown narratives, however, Kid Icarus: Uprising literally flipped the script as it shined with its writing, story, and characters above all else.
Congratulations young sir for mastering the multiplayer side of a Nintendo experience. We all hope that you go on to dominate many more challengers in the future.
