That actually looked pretty damn good. A lot better than I thought it would. And the interactivity between this game and EVE is pretty damn cool.
Funny how the buzz around this game is not bigger. I know if this was on another console deprived of good exclusive it probably would be getting much more attention, maybe even getting praise like the second coming. Sony better take a lesson from Ms and get the buzz going on that one. Same thing happened with portal 2. Everyone I talked to about portal 2 don't even know that steam and ps3 got cross platform. And that if you bought the ps3 version you get the pc version free .
But it was not possible on other console, like CCP already said. The buzz was pretty normal to me in the crowd considering that everyone plays on PC. This game being exclusive for 1 platform and not for PC it was a letdown first, but it did take a good and positive reception after this demonstration. Now only Sony needs to marketing this right to help CCP.
I agree there was no buzz but now that its free to play it certainly will get no buzz. How can a fee to play game really create much buzz especially when most people only care about COD or copying COD.
memots, I fully agree. Next gen gaming is about far more than graphics. It is about innovations such as this. My Even play has doubled since this announcement as I am pushing my character into a better position to...hire myself later. This is true innovation and anyone that is an Eve player understands why CCP brings quality to their games like no other MMO available.
It looks like they've done an amazing job and that lobby system looks really good. This needs to be hyped up well and truly!
Wow how the fuck this game not being more hype from gamers.I'm really surprise at this gameplay.Too see Dust514 and Eve Online working together is amazing. Now I'm really hyped too see what CCP and Zipper can do with MAG 2.
Cantttt waittttt, its gonna have soo many active players considering its a shooter and F2p.
Count me in. This looks awesome and they are doing something never done before.
Allright Sony, here's the deal: you will release one box containing both Dust for PS3 and Eve for PC. I will quit my job and master both games, savings should last me for 2 years so with EVE it's only the basic things I will get to, but after that it's WORLD DOMINATION! I don't know what nullsec is but I will conquer it to find out:) Lots of questions though. It's still not clear how many players can participate in one battle (I read 32 vs 32 somewhere), can battles take hours or days or is there a max time in minutes? EVE pilots can bomb Dust mercenaries, but will PS3 gamers be able to blow PC gamers out of orbit? Is it technically possible to have Dust merc fighting inside an EVE spaceship?
Wonder how many will be playing both at same time
Same here, and for some reason it's never mentioned. It's not clear on the forum, Wiki says 32 vs 32, the new Q&A has no word about it either. The info and marketing is really weird, it's a shooter for PS3 yet most info comes through EVE oriented websites and events. What happens to this game if EVE pilots turn out not caring for hiring mercs? How big is the impact in their universe really? The game is free but won't show up in retail, one week after release it's probably well hidden somewhere in the PSN Store, how will they get enough players so Dust can have any impact in a universe as big as EVE's? And if it's big, will EVE subscribers have anything to say about that? Edit: misread your comment. Would indeed be cool: put controller aside, call in an airstrike yourself on PC and continue the fight on PS3. We need more arms:) Sony should release a Dust&EVE combo at retail.
Ive been hyped for this for a while now! looks great!
i need this game to hold me over until MAG2... it looks amazing and i can not wait...
