Playfront writes: "On the one hand, you actually get the Silent Hill that one wishes for years - nerve-wracking and exciting. It adheres to the beginnings of the series and has not let the game turn into a action shooter. The atmosphere is terrific, there are great and tricky puzzles, many side quests and an interesting story. On the other hand, the technical implementation is not entirely successful. Annoying lag, an outdated combat system, not really up-to-date graphics."
