TGV: Silent Hill Downpour Review

Silent Hill: Downpour is the first AAA game from developers Vatra Games, whose only previous attempt released in 2011, Rush’n Attack: Ex-Patriot, was given a paltry 5 out of 10 from us at The Gaming Vault and one we called “a lifeless cash grab”, which lined up with what many other critics had to say about the game. Don't expect anything beyond heavily mediocre with this poor attempt.

The review was fine because the game looks reeeeally bland, ugly, clunky and most importantly not plays like the old Silent Hill games.

Please Konami bring back Team Silent Hill...

How would you change it?

It's because zombie games are overflooding the market. They need to switch it up. Reboot the series in a first person view such as Halo or call of duty, and add the adventure and rpg elements from Assasins creed. imagine being able to sneak through this series like snake does in all the metal gear games! :D (just the thought of it makes me sweat.)

I honestly cannot tell if you're trolling or not. I hope you are.

I'm not trolling, I'm stating my opinion. If you don't like my opinion then more power to you. But I have a right to form an opinion just like any other citizen in this united states of america. We all have the same rights here because this is the land of the free, and the home of the brave. If you do not like it then you can move somewhere else. But that is how things operate here.

The only problem is, what i stated was a fact. This series does indeededly need a reboot. and it need a first person view to increase the immersiveness.

I like how you think everyone on the Internet lives in the US. By the way, freedom of expression isn't a US-based right. And I rightfully disagree with your opinion.

So IMO - why make a series, made popular by exploration, extremely detailed storytelling and emphasis on fight-or-flight mechanics and disturbing elements something...that is obviously none of those things? If by FPS you actually mean "first-person perspective" then I might be able to see what you're getting at.

But you don't need the first-person perspective to increase immersion - eliminate other factors that prevent it from being immersive like framerate stutter or tricky controls, but making it FPS would make it something that goes against the entire series.

A Silent Hill FPS? I don't.... I don't even know what to say right now. Now, when you think about it, The Room did use "first-person prospective" to good effect. Same with Fatal Frame.
