Starhawk Interview With Senior Producer Harvard Bonin [GDC 2012] | ShogunGamer.com

Ian Fisher writes: Aside from getting some hands-on time with the co-op mode of Starhawk at GDC last week I also had the chance to once again chat with Starhawk Senior Producer Harvard Bonin. I first chatted with Harvard about the game at PAX Prime last year and this time we chatted a bit more about the evolution of the beta, what kind of DLC approach the game may take, and if we’ll ever see Warhawk take to the skies again.

"The thing with our game is that when people don’t know how to play the game they have this kind of powerful thing to screw it up for everyone else. So if they’re building walls in the wrong places our job is to try and empower other players to put the kibosh on them so they can flame them".

They better make sure there will be an option to kick players in the final version, because in the beta I've already seen a couple of assholes building 15 snipertowers in a row, or random walls faster than you can destoy them. On purpose and right now there's nothing you can do but try & crush-em with a building or leave the game. Or file a complaint, bad builder is an option but I wonder what will be done with those complaints, can you ban a player for playing 'wrong'? And they do not listen, believe me. Frustrating as hell. For the rest: amazingly fresh & addictive game.

I feel your pain whenever I see someone building a razr back next to a already built one and when you need to built something to runaway with the flag BAM no empty slots to built because your team is a walling team. At least the developers fix what the community ask for like the UN_reclaimable auto machineguns

I'm just glad we can reclaim any structures if needed.
I've put up buildings myself and later realise it was already built. If only it'd highlight on the map any of the same building your about to build, that'd help immensely.
