How Well Would Peyton Manning Play on the Broncos?

IGN:

If you're a football fan, it seems like the only story right now is "Where will Peyton Manning sign?" which, granted, is a much needed respite from the constant barrage of Tim Tebow news, but still. We can't wait for Manning to pick a team, so we jammed him into a few teams in Madden NFL 12. Check it out.

The picture looks like that Xbox exclusive football game that had Peyton Manning on the cover......cant remember the name to save my life

It was NFL Fever. Those NFL games were really top notch back on the original Xbox. Back before the dark times, back before EA.

Anyway, Manning would be great! Its obvious he was the Colts, I think the Broncos have a better core than the Colts did, so he could do very well. They would need to tailor the offense to him though, he is basically his own offensive coordinator.

reports are coming in that hes meeting with the titans if so there is a good chance he would join them. it makes sense

Right now the top two contenders are the Titans and Broncos.

Why would anyone want Peyton Manning right now? His career and performance are obviously on the downward slope. I'm calling it now, 4 seasons and then he retires.

Highlife1598d ago

You serious? Why would Denver want to upgrade??? Miami??? Arizon???? They probably don't cause they have great qbs! You watch football???

Emilio_Estevez1598d ago

Umm, 4 seasons is enough to win another Superbowl, and These teams would still be after him if he said it would only be 1 season. There would be even more contenders than this if they could afford it and if Peyton wanted to play there. You clearly don't know much about football.

DeadIIIRed1598d ago

So instead of investing in a long-term quarterback with potential like Tebow, you are assuming that Peyton Manning is still a sure thing to grasp one, possibly, two titles? I know enough about football to know that dynasties are built with long term goals in mind, not short term victories.

@ Dead

Of the two quarterbacks you named, clearly the bigger question mark is Tebow. If Peyton is cleared medically, he can play, period.

I like Tebow and respect his conviction, but to be fair, it is still unclear whether Tebow actually has what it takes to be a starting QB in the NFL, let alone the ability to take a team on his back and will them to victory.

Peyton's resume speaks for itself.

Any team that feels it's on the verge of winning a championship and needs a field general to take them there would be doing the team and their fans a disservice to not consider Manning.

I'm hoping the Titans end up with him, Tebow belongs in Denver and Peyton played for Tennessee in Collage so him returning there for the Titans would be cool to see.

Oh I dont know.... VIDEO GAMES????!!
