"GAME’s difficulties are due to a combination of factors: the economic downturn which has hit the high street generally; intense competition from other physical and online retailers; the decision by big global publishers not to stock GAME with new releases; and the shift by consumers from purchasing boxed products to digital games."

Why sugar coat it? Game have only themselves to blame. They weren't competitve. Most of their staff are unhelpful to the point where you think they are just there to collect a paycheck. They became far too greedy, ripping people off. Sure, new release games were priced fine but preowned and months old new games were ridiculous. GAME killed GAME!

Why is it that companies are so eager to blame anyone but themselves? Oh wait, doing that is what CAUSED them to fail.
