Report: After 7 years, Quake 4 approaches PS3

Those pesky gaming censors have done it again, potentially letting the cat out of the bag when it comes to a new version of Quake 4. A new amendment to the ESRB Website updates the game from simply being for "Windows PC" to now also include "Xbox 360" and - more excitingly - "PlayStation 3".

not really, just when i thought of quake i thought of that game that was suppose to be a launch game for the 360 a year before it launch

I remember playing it on the PC some time ago. It was a big disappointment for me. I stopped playing after 5-6hrs and forgot about it completely.

I have it on PC, was actually going to play it again, but hey release it on PS3 for 10-15 dollars I'll bite. I'd much rather see Doom 1, 2, expansion, and even 3 on it though....

Good news !
I always wanted to play this game but the reviewers said the 360 version is a mess with ugly textures and poor framerate but the PC version was nice.
If the PS3 version is more like the PC version I will definetely pick it up !
