Ubisoft Seeks Next Generation Graphics on PS3 and Xbox 360

"GDC 2012 recently concluded with an active presence from Ubisoft. Seeking to generate hype for Assassin’s Creed 3, next-generation graphics on PS3 and Xbox 360 are said to be expected thanks to Ubisoft’s latest and greatest engine, AnvilNext."

I think you'd only have one dime.

What other devs have said that they intend on making their game look next-gen on current-gen consoles?

Next-gen graphics on PS3/360 is not only an oxymoron, it's impossible.

it's safe to say the PS3 and 360 are so old now that we should start calling them last-gen, and we probably will in a matter of months. Games on them still look good to me though but I'm ready for the real next-gen of consoles.

They should instead focus on ridding the screen tearing and framerate drops that plagued the previous entries. We shouldn't be experiencing performance issues in big budget AAA franchises such as this. It's pathetically unacceptable.
