VGW Review: I Am Alive

VGW: Popular media has long enthralled us with tales of survival in a world ravaged by [insert apocalyptic event here]. Most of these scenarios feature us as a nigh-invincible Rambo-type character, warding off mutants, thugs and anything else the wasteland might throw at us.

When Darkworks announced that it was working on a dark survivalist story called I Am Alive, the title intrigued, and also disappointed gamers when it was announced the fate of the game seemed unsure. Eventually it was revealed that the once retail release was now going to be offered as a downloadable only title, developed by Ubisoft Shanghai. So does it hold up to its initial promise? (I Am Alive, Xbox 360) 3.5/5
