I hope Doom 4 leads on PC or else Id deserves to be boycotted by its PC fans.

I don't care what platform it leads on, I just want id not to fuck up with Doom 4.

Doom series is an FPS masterpiece and a legend. They should take their time in developing a good game/good port that plays and runs well.

Not a hurried mess that RAGE was. Seriously if they had added a rich storyline and optimized for us PC audience then even that game would have become a success.

But nevertheless, My hopes are still high - An optimized 60+ FPS Id Tech 5 and an Epic storyline that redefines FPS games is what i expect from Doom 4 @ id - John Carmack

Epic storyline? When were id games ever about that? Let them play to their strengths; if anything, they've shown that they're pretty terrible at story driven gaming. What they absolutely rule at is fast-paced, gruesome and visceral action. Plus, it needs that occult edge, big time. Hordes of demons, massive firepower an a sense of foreboding, with certain death lurking around every corner.

Who gives a damn after what they did with Rage, they might come back with an awesome game one dayi just dont think its gonna be Doom 4

I'd say they were sitting down and taking a long hard look at Rage and where Doom 4 is heading. Great graphics don't count for much these days without a great game underneath.

@Light

If Doom 4 is the sequel to Doom 3 then it id needs some work to be done on the story.

If its a sequel to Doom - Hell on Earth (Original Doom Reboot) then i think i have to agree with your post.

Quake series was a great example of fast paced FPS's.
