The latest issue of some Japanese magazine (they are not sure which) contains ten pages of FromSoftware's upcoming Armored Core: For Answer.
yes it is a ps3 exclusive
That great news for me because i just go my PS3
Um I'm pretty sure it's multiplat, in any case I hope this one is better than AC4. From Software is notorious for being stubborn in their game designs, look at Tenchu. The transformable ACs have piqued my interest though, I hope the transforming parts are customizable as well.
Look at the first scan it has the 360 logo on it. Release date is March of 2008, First scan has the word, "TRANSFORM" in it, the mech tranformed into a big cannon. Edit: Tranform in japanese kenji i mean, i am translating just in case you try to look hard for it and can't find it.
I mean did some of you guys read the magazine scans [first 5 pages is 360, last few pages is the ps3] I mean, the colors hinted that too.
hopefully this one has a campaign that is a bit longer then AC4, and co-op....have they said anything about that yet? edit: I hope they say somthing soon, becuase I've only seen speculation from blogs and so forth hinting at co-op, and that would be such a badass feature! http://www.siliconera.com/2...
I don't think they have?!?
yay, another dumbed down classic that should have been truly next gen. Ah well. If it comes out of PC i would get it for that. Seems to be the best multiplat system around. The last AC i liked was the one that came out just before the new systems....it was in a multi DVD case....i shoulda kept it.
I really want this game to be awesome. i hope its not just an extension of ac4.
Three Mech experts working on this game as well (Kawamori's back!) They've also expanded the playing field much larger now for the missions, etc.. I'm definitely buying this game when it comes out. Armored Core 4 I enjoyed but it still didn't take my love from the older titles :D
i agree. the older titles are classic. i kinda hope i can enjoy the new line next gen AC games somewhat like i do for the older titles.
Chromehounds, also by From Software, blew AC4 out of the water with its SQUAD-BASED MULTIPLAYER! AC had better single player mode as Chromehound's was really just a long training scenario. It was good, and it really taught players how to view and handle all the different RTs (role types) but it was the ongoing Neroimus War and Squad play (Clan type!!!) that won me and 11 of my Friends List gamers over. The game is sooooo addicting with its vast---VAST array of custom built Hounds (mechs). No other mech game comes close! I remember, seriously, at least 12 sessions where I played for over 24 hrs. straight at least three of my squad members playing just as long if not longer. Other squad members would come and go as their daily commitments allowed. One of Chromehound's 49 Achiements, Nation Resurrector (20pts.) is awarded for gamers who successfully revive their affiliated nation. It's a tough one and one that requires a lot of time battling to pull it off. And it's F-U-N!!!! As opposing squads will change strategies and often pull in their best specialists to go against yours. I believe Chromehounds was a overlooked title that deserves far greater exposure. I do know that it is still building a legion of dedicated, HARDCORE fans. IF ANY OF YOU EVER HAVE THE OPPORTUNITY TO PLAY CHROMEHOUNDS, DON'T PASS IT UP! - BIGBAER Chromehounds Squad Leader: DRAKKENHUNDS Here is a link to one of the best Chromehounds sites: http://chromehounds.addicte...
