GAME and Gamestation are trying to shift as much stock as they have, potentially trying to hold off the administrators as long as they can.
Staff at GAME have confirmed that lots of ‘pre-owned’ consoles are going to be sold on the cheap tomorrow, and this includes discounts on the Xbox 360 Slim and PS3.
We've had people from all over the country confirming the sales are going on, just like moegooner88, the first comment on this post.
I'd suggest if it's easy to get to your local GAME store, go check it out tomorrow!
Think of all the aunties and uncles, all the sisters and the brothers, mothers and fathers that buy games as a present. The majority won't think to buy online which will result in millions of lost sales each year. Either that or they will go to cex and buy second hand so devs will lose out even more now.
I reckon online passes contributed towards this problem, companies like this make their money from used game sales, online passes force the majority to buy new. Devs shot them selves in the foot. Not only do these companies make devs games easily accessable to the general public, but also offer free advertising.
Preowned sales keep these companies in business, I think its the least they are owed for making games as easily accessable as they have. Devs shouldn't of been so greedy.
