UGO: Dance Dance Revolution Universe 2 review

The highlight of any title in the Dance Dance Revolution franchise is the gameplay experience rather than hi-def visuals. For Konami, coming up with new approaches to toe-tapping takes precedence over making sure the game makes sweet, sweet love to the player's eyeballs. The Xbox 360-exclusive DDR Universe 2 is a step up then, delivering plenty of eye candy to go along with its techno-infused soundtrack and apartment living-unfriendly gameplay (helpful hint: try not to play after midnight). However, series newcomers are not welcomed with open arms here, left instead to struggle along with their own rhythmic deficiencies against a painfully steep learning curve.

UGO gives Dance Dance Revolution Universe 2 an overall rating of B-. Review by Adam Rosenberg. (Dance Dance Revolution Universe 2, Xbox 360) B-/A+
