i guess, assassins creed III will have an interesting story ;D

AlienLion4436d ago

Question is though, whats he gonna climb? US isnt known for tall towers other than skyscrapers. DC has historic buildings but they're low enough to trip over

Autodidactdystopia4436d ago

trees, flagpoles, cliffs, fences,

mainly trees.

scark924436d ago (Edited 4436d ago )

No.. Christopher Columbus was dead during the Revolution.. We may see an assassination of a political figure.. but who?

S_C4436d ago

I am actually interested about this assassins creed now they've changed era, after the first game i was bored of that setting and wernt interested in the game at all.

dawgsfan1174436d ago

So you were bored after the original because of the setting? Does that mean a switch from the Middle East to Renaissance France wasn't quite dramatic enough for you?

S_C4436d ago

@dawgsfan117
In One Word ? ...No

peeps4436d ago

This should be more of a dramatic change in environment at least. I enjoyed AC 1 & 2 but never bothered with Brotherhood or revelations as it just seemed more of the same (although I do mean to give them a go at some point)

ThirstyforFanta4436d ago

First game was fucking boring.
Second game, Brotherhood and Revelations were all amazing.. Don't judge a franchise just because of the first entry

S_C4436d ago

@ThirstyforFanta
Like you said the first game was boring, and i didn't see enough of a change in the following games for me to purchase them, i rented brotherhood just to try out the multiplayer (which i enjoyed, but its not a multiplayer which u can play for an hour or 2).... but this plot does interest me more than the previous games

Great the Assassins standing in front of the American flag....so much for being netural

I have a bad feeling us Brits are going to be the "evil" templars, even though it makes more sense that the Americans should be....NO....not because I'm trying to say America is evil in real life but because of the games setting....if the British were the "good guys" it would make sense that because they lost the war the templars became one step closer of wipping the Assassins out taking a stronger hold of America and even Britain.....like how there is hardly any Assassins in the present day while the templars have more control over the world. The ones that went to save Desmond in the second game, lucys backup, were all gunned down.

Neo Nugget4437d ago

I think you're overreacting.

One of the US presidents was a Templar.

Nozzle4437d ago

Over reacting....nope

Just an average comment on a games commenting website

Seems like you take peoples comments to heart way too much if you bothered to comment with that response.

Do you think on dmc articles that people are over reacting, what about how Capcom milks DLC of us all the time or the fact Square Enix are ruining FF.....do you think people are over reacting there......well you shouldn't, just a commenting site where people vent.

Jeez...sorry Captain America

koh4436d ago (Edited 4436d ago )

Who said there were "good guys" and "bad guys"? I'll take a little more nuance and complexity please.

koh4436d ago (Edited 4436d ago )

Double post...?

BillyFinn4437d ago

"if the British were the "good guys" it would make sense that because they lost the war the templars became one step closer of wipping the Assassins out taking a stronger hold of America and even Britain.....like how there is hardly any Assassins in the present day while the templars have more control over the world"

That's...actually a good point

Brownghost4436d ago

I have nothing against Brits but IMO the British were very unfair with colonists during that time so that's history

Kurt Russell4436d ago

I'm British and I am all for a tomahawk weilding Assassin!

And @ Brownghost

I think you'll find all countries have their share of bloodshed.

Kakihara4436d ago

Ugh, look... I'm British but I'm sick of reading these kinds of dishonest complaints from British gamers. It's the same nonsense we saw after Uncharted was released, 'Oh, why does the Englishman always have to be the evil bad guy?'. You know damn well why, because that's what we all are. As I sit here in my throneroom, dictating this comment to one of my scribes while sipping a fine chardonay and watching two peasant children fight to the death for my entertainment, the thought occurs to me that we should just be honest with the rest of the world. There's no shame in being English, there is only shame in being a liar. There has never been an Englishman born who wasn't a charming, cultured but truly evil conspirator obsessed with only power and riches. It's time we admit that. Well, there are the peasant classes of course but you could hardly call them huma... I beg your pardon? Yes, I know it's getting cold in here, throw another baby on the fire... Wait, are you still typing? Hmmm, so hard to find decent scribes these days. Guards!! Take him away. We'll see how he likes typing with no fingers, maybe that'll teach him to sto

Ubisoft must really like assassins creed on ps3.

dcortz20274437d ago (Edited 4437d ago )

Well, Assassin's Creed was originally a planned PS3 exclusive series, but it later went multi-platform. Quite a shame really, but it's understandable as they wanted more sales.

KingOptimus7774437d ago

Oh ok because like ever since AC II I've been seeing it advertise on PS3 so this is nice to know why.

CoLD FiRE4436d ago

How is it a shame? Isn't better that the game is enjoyed by a larger audience? So, let's say that you're a PS3 user only and the game was a PC or Xbox 360 exclusive wouldn't you be pissed off that you didn't get to play it?

cjflora4436d ago

He clearly means it's a shame because there may have been more they could have done with the game as an exclusive. You know, like the other amazing PS3 exclusives.

CoLD FiRE4435d ago

@cjflora Well, if that's what he meant then it would've been a much better choice if it was a PC exclusive.

I guess we stuck in Europe longer than even expected. I'm sick and tired of ALWAYS having to be in the states. All the bad shit happens in america... This could have easily been applied to a French Revolution but nope... cuz adding more guns into the gameplay is going to make this even harder right......

I never got around to mass effect - I’m skeptical that it would hold up if I were to try it now

Furesis6h ago

I would say it does. The combat is a bit shit for todays standards but everything else is great.

It's worth a play through today.

El Shaddai: Ascension of the Metatron - Coming Back for a New Generation

Originally launched in 2011, El Shaddai: Ascension of the Metatron is coming to Nintendo Switch, so It's time to look back at the original.

jznrpg1d 1h ago

Still have my ps3 copies. Bought it at launch and another one when I found it cheap and in perfect condition about 10 years ago. I wouldn’t buy it on Switch but if they made a PS5 version I would. I still have one of my PS3 Fats hooked up so good to go either way.

darthv721d 1h ago

Id play it again on the switch. I wished my 360 version was bc but this is still a good way to play.

Fallout 3's Reveal Led To Death Threats And Bethesda's First Security Guard

The artist behind Fallout 4’s Deathclaw reveals just how bad things got back when Bethesda took over the series

anast1d 2h ago

People are stupid I get it. No one should feel unsafe,

But I think they need to talk about why they cut so many corners during the development process and why none of their games ever look current. And why they think all of this is okay while they charge full price.

LucasRuinedChildhood1d 2h ago

As much as Bethesda deserve criticism, that's not really relevant to the reveal of Fallout 3 in 2007.

VenomUK23h ago

The default angle Kotaku always go for is to highlight the worst in gaming.

I would’ve focused on the creative.

anast5h ago

The game went downhill at Fallout 3's release. This is when they started to cut corners.

gold_drake22h ago

there is no "but". the hell lol
you dont send death threats, period.

anast5h ago

Usually, you have good comments but this isn't one of them. It just rides the mob. We can do both condemn the actions and not let them use it for other things.

I can say I received a death threat and everyone needs to shut up. People are not honest and will use horrible things to their advantage.

Armaggedon17h ago

Not all games “look” current.

anast5h ago

Their games always look like the gen before it.
