IGN- Nintendo Discusses Zelda and Outside Developers

IGN- "Late last year, Nintendo executive Shigeru Miyamoto commented on partnering more with western developers, similar to (or expanding upon) how Retro Studios was called upon to assist in the development of Mario Kart 7. Miyamoto noted that Retro had also worked on series like Metroid in the past, and that a franchise like Zelda might be a possibility in the future.

We recently had an opportunity to interview Zelda producer Eiji Aonuma about a number of topics related to the series, and asked him what he thought about partnering with Retro and other companies on Zelda, particularly as Nintendo moves into a more resource-intensive HD era."
