ZTGD | Hyperdimension Neptunia mk2 Review

Drew Leachman writes: I’m going to be honest with you. I played and reviewed Hyperdimension Neptunia for this site. If you go back and read my review, you can tell I really didn’t care for the game. You can imagine how I felt when I heard the announcement of a sequel. Needless to say, I was not ecstatic. Of course, things can always improve. In the case of Hyperdimension Neptunia Mk2, the enhancements are significant.

The story is too old to be commented.

I enjoyed the original game even though it was not that well recieved. These kind of games are an acquired taste so not for everyone. Nice to see the sequel get better scores for being what it is.

This game was greatly improved. The first game was a chore for me to play, but I actually enjoyed playing mk2.

The first was more a less a dungeon grinder, is the 2nd still have that or there is much more to do? Like i said i liked the first game but the dungeon stuff became very repetitive after awhile.

The witty humor of the game was one of the main reasons i kept playing the first.

It's definitely still a quest dungeon game that requires some level grinding. Everything just feels more streamlined in Mk2. The story, combat, and exploration all flow really well. The goofy humor is back as well. Pretty much what you would expect from something NIS would publish.
