GEV says: Generally speaking here at GamesEyeView, we’re not big fans of fighting games. But there are a few that have a soft spot in our hearts. Tops on that list is the SoulCalibur franchise, which we’ve been playing in one form or another since our college days. As such, we have many fond memories of hanging out with a group of friends, passing the controller around and mashing buttons until our fingers bled. Earlier this month, SoulCalibur V hit store shelves. And while there’s plenty here for longtime fans of the series to appreciate, there’s a ton of changes too. And while we think that this is still a very good fighting game, unfortunately we also feel that some of the changes aren’t necessarily for the better.
