A couple weeks ago, we ran a preview of Devil May Cry 4 that mentioned offhandedly that the PS3 and Xbox 360 versions of the game, based on our brief time with them, looked and played identically. Unsurprisingly, this prompted a few readers to crawl slowly out of the woodwork, chanting in arcane rhythms about "framerate" and "processing power" and "memory" and generally calling bullshit on our assertion.
VGChartz's Mark Nielsen: "Upon finally finishing Devil May Cry 5 recently - after it spent several years on my “I’ll play that soon” list - I considered giving it a fittingly-named Late Look article. However, considering that this was indeed the final piece I was missing in the DMC puzzle, I decided to instead take this opportunity to take a look back at the entirety of this genre-defining series and rank the entries. What also made this a particularly tempting notion was that while most high-profile series have developed fairly evenly over time, with a few bumps on the road, the history of Devil May Cry has, at least in my eyes, been an absolute roller coaster, with everything from total disasters to action game gold."
3,1,4,5 to me, never played 2. 5 gameplay is amazing but level design was really disappointing to me, just a bunch of plain arenas, the story felt like a worse written rehash of the 3rd and the charater models looked weird ( specially the ladies ). Another problem with 5 was that there was not enough content for 3 charaters so I could never really familiarize with any of them

God DMC2 was an awful game.
And in case this isn't obvious it goes worst to best
Two Devil May Cry games have been delisted on Steam. As shared on X, formerly Twitter, by Wario64, Devil May Cry 3 Special Edition and Devil May Cry 4 are no longer available to purchase.
Bless the adorably all digital future! When it comes to PC games its not as big of an issue because there should always be another way to access single player games, but still, I hate to see anything get delisted.
Well, DMC4 special edition has a lot of issues to run from Steam.
I have to get a modded executable to even be able to run the game on Windows 10.
Not sure if it is because the game runs in DirectX10 or what, but it sucks they have not even tried to fix it.
Devil May Cry 4 launched 15 years ago today, bringing with it new character Nero. Has it stood the test of time?
Never liked it and I think I got it day 1.
Cheap Capcom design of half a game that you have to walk through twice.
5 isn't much different in that department. Encounter the same boss three times with three different characters? Endless warehouses or alien-like tunnels that all look the same.
Agreed the ps3 is the superior version, the xbots are just confused they will get help soon enough by a doctor
I am putting a stop to this comparison crap. they are both the same. accept it.

Video's quality is too messed up plus the 360's footage has way more dancing squares.

The the footage is too blocky the charactors cape is made up of blocks for crying out loud. lol.
We don't know what a Sony fanboy will try so we must believe the first video that was clearly showing us how it really was. No one needs to see some block bullshit footage with a fanboy opinion attached.
EDIT
HERE IS SOME PICS FROM THE ORIGINAL VIDEO, #8 IS CORRECT THE PS3 COULD HAVE BEEN HOLDING BACK THE 360 VERSION SO THE DEVS COULD MATCH BOTH VERSIONS TO MAKE SONY FANBOYS HAPPY
