Youngsters queue at Asia Game Show in Hong Kong

Hong Kong, Dec. 22 (Xinhua) -- Over a thousand people, mostly youngsters, queued Saturday at Hong Kong's convention and exhibition center in order to have a try of the avant-guard high definition video games, of which some were yet to be released.

The Asia Game Show, an annual event first launched around Christmas in 2002 and scheduled to run Saturday through Tuesday in 2007, took High Definition as its theme this year to showcase the latest developments in high definition technology.

Organizers further said they expected the event this year, with more than 30 game developers, to attract 400 thousand visitors, up 15 percent from a year earlier.

Sony Computer Entertainment, the largest single exhibitor at the show, set up a booth of some 1,600 square meters, with its Play Station series, from PS to PS3, and Gran Tourismo 5 Prologue, a game slated for release in January, for visitors to try.
