"Ever since we published a guide on how to fix a Vita crash or freeze, we’ve been inundated with emails, PMs and tweets about personal Vita crashes – but have you had a problem?" - PSLS
(PS Vita, PS3)
Crashed 2 times now actually. Once during setup when aquiring a weak wifi signal. And once when launching Table Football, it just refused to load. It never froze or anything, the icon was still spinning and stuff, but I couldn't quit and had to power off the device. Odd.
But for all the other many hours ive been on it, it's been fine. And I love it !
Mine turned into a tomato and hid inside the fridge. I accidentally ate it but at least it was delicious. I will get another one when gravity daze comes out.
as i type this on my vita i can say i have had only 1 crash when it went to sleep mode during a update thats it. im enjoying my vita but i need typeing lessions and a sony starter kit. getting the kit asap.
Don't get the starter kit. The case is soft. I bought it and now I will buy another case which is like a zipper bag which carries the vita, cables and games.
My Vita crashed first on launch day, after having it for a week with no probs whatsoever. I went to sleep, woke up and it would not power on at all, even with the battery fully charged and being connected to the charger. After performing several resets by holding the power button down for 15-20 secs, the orange light would keep flashing and a large icon of a battery appeared on screen with a big X thru it. This went on for 20 mins and eventually it started to work, with me thinking my Vita maybe had a defective battery. Since then it's crashed two more times, only in sleep mode but nothing as severe as the first time. I believe it's the most recent firmware update, because only since the update have I been having issues like this. Before the update, I used my Vita for a full week, almost non-stop, and had no probs at all. So again, it's most likely the most recent firmware update. Still, it's by far the best, most fun, most social and easily the most impressive handheld ever created. I recommend that every "core" gamer get one, or anyone who loves great experiences and nice new tech!
I had the problem when playing Uncharted. There was a loud audio beeping sound and noticed it was coming from my Vita! I can't hear the in game volume so I tried putting to sleep mode but the beeping didn't stop! Then there's the blinking blue light... Hope that doesn't happen again, very frightening especially when it happened to me only on the 3rd day after I unboxed it.

Mine is always giving me the blue light. It means the system is ON and functioning, lol
Joking aside, I've had no problems whatsoever.

This device is fantastic. Soon as I'm done with Jak Collection I'm gonna hop on Shinobido.
Are you sure this isn't the reason?
