Blizzard wants you to have high expectations from D3 after all; incoming release date announcement

DSOGaming writes: "All hell has broken loose when Blizzard’s community manager, Bashiok, said that gamers should lower their expectations for Diablo III. This sounded awkward, right? I mean a community manager telling gamers to lower their expectations for a triple-A game that will most probably sell like hot-cakes? Something didn’t seem right. And according to Blizzard’s Jay Wilson, Bashiok was being sarcastic. Now obviously, there are two sides of this story: either Bashiok was indeed trolling everyone and the media mistook his comment or he was dead serious and Jay Wilson is trying to damage control this whole mess." (Diablo III, PC)

"near future" I don't know what's worse Blizzard time or Valve time

Probably Valve, Blizzard isn't an independent developer, so delays piss off not only their fans, but Vivendi shareholders!

yea but they have a massive bargaining chip in WoW, plus their legacy, they have their own management and everything. They are the most profitable part of Acti-Blizzard so they get to do whatever they want believe it or not. The second they lose any money ever then they will have problems.

I prefer to wait. It translates to a better game with less glitches. That has aways been the business of most ever great company to not rush things out the door and accept quantity over quality.

Valve is worse. Besides that I'm sure many people are willing to wait, after all all of their games last 100+ hours on average.

After SC2's awful single player campaign, I'm not exactly holding my breath with hope of Diablo 3 being any better. I'm sure it'll be a technical marvel, but beyond that? Yeah: consider my expectations lowered.

SC2 campaign was pretty sweet! The dialogues were awesome :)

Diablo 3 is looking sweet and Blizzard can take the time they want as long as the game is "ready" when they say

In Blizzard we trust!
