Being a staple of Sony’s impressive list of exclusive titles, it surprised me that it took so long for a Twisted Metal game to hit the PS3. I dabbled with the Twisted Metal franchise on both the PSone and PS2 back in the day. The car combat genre has come a long way since its inception. After playing this latest entry into the Twisted Metal franchise I found this game is a bit of a double-edged sword. There’s plenty of good, but there is also one big strike against it that a lot of casual gamers can’t overlook. 60/100
I guess everything has to cater to casual gamers now, or it will get a bad review. Even a game clearly targeted at hardcore fans of the original TM games has to be "accessible". Give me a damn break.
Hilarious. Notice the low reviews are always complaining about the controls and difficulty? I call this the "CoD effect".
I'm so glad I'm not a casual and I can get into deep multiplayer games like Twisted Metal. I've got no problems with the classic controls. The game plays like a dream for me.
