GNT: Welcome again to Strong or Weak for the week. This week marks the official release of Sony’s PS Vita, so we’ll be taking a look at some of the games that are surrounding the launch and coming out this week.
VGChartz's Adam Cartwright: "the handheld was unable to attract certain types of software – western AAA development quickly evaporated, as did Sony’s own support, because there weren’t enough consoles out there for such titles to be profitable. But that doesn’t mean that every publisher failed to find success. Indeed, there are a number of franchises out there that have been able to appeal to the Vita’s niche and which have seen positive sales numbers and critical reception, leading to them becoming mainstays on the handheld.
It’s these series that I intend to examine in more depth this article – what they are, what entries we’ve seen, what success they’ve had, and what it’s meant for the console’s future. I’ll be using known sales figures where possible to back things up, hopefully demonstrating that the Vita has been a solid home for a number of great series despite its otherwise weak commercial performance on the market."
The PlayStation Vita may be dead, but its library of great games is expansive. Here are the games every Vita gamer must own, in GameSpew's humble opinion.
I was quite surprised Tales of Hearts R wasn't on this list. Pretty great JRPG. Seemingly simple combat at first, but quite complex by the end. Especially if you do end game and Maniac or "Unknown" difficulty. I'm 2 trophies away from Platinuming it. Some of the most fun I've had on my Vita in the 4 years I've had it.

Good games but what a horrible list. So many games should be on this list but aren't.
It may look all happy and cutesy at a glance, but when you actually consider Katamari's gameplay, it's actually rather dark. Very dark, in fact.
It maybe disturbing but it's fun as hell and why the Ps4 doesn't have one yet or a Noby Noby Boy 2 is beyond me.
Me too! Since writing this article I've had Katamari cravings so bad. Looks like I'll have to settle with Touch My Katamari on Vita for now. I'd even be happy with Backwards Compatibility for Beautiful Katamari on Xbox!
Katamari forever on ps3 is good too.. psp one as well.. ps2 both games are awesome too
