I want to be ready for the story in 4. Its all kinda fuzzy. I'm on Snake eater right now so...I'll be very good with the story after i'm done.

I respect what they are doing with MGS4 so much. Kojima is putting his all into this game like he has done with all the MG games. I'll reward him by buyin it, and so should all PS3 owners.

but not enough time so ill just wait for 4

The Navy think sleeping is for suckers so I either go party or play video games with the little time i have off.

Skerj3718d ago

Hah Rel I'm doing the SAME thing, and am currently replaying Snake Eater too. I fell out of the continuity though because I was supposed to play MG, MG2, MGS3, MGPO, MGS, and MGS2. But I started straight off with Snake Eater. The Metal Gear story is deep and doing this will make MGS4 all the more epic.

Its worth it to pay attention to too. I enjoy the story as crazy and convoluted as it is. As a side note Snake Eater a one amazing game.

I'm in the Navy too. Shore duty rocks. Now I have A LOT of time on my hands. In fact, right now I'm playing through about 7 different games and working on a couple of themes. All that with two kids, a wife, and college classes in the evenings.

Sleep is for suckers. MGS is for winners.

Relcom3718d ago

I'm in Patuxent River right now(thats in Southern Maryland). I'm TAD right now thats why i'm working so much, but when i get qualified i'll have tons of time on my hands. I'm a AG what are you?

EZCheez3718d ago

I just finished five years on a submarine. I'm an ET. I've got the slackest job possible for the next two years until I go back to a boat. I work probably about 10 hours a week (SLACK). My gaming has picked up severely and I'll probably make the time to play all of the MGS's too just because I can.

Relcom3718d ago

big shocker huh. Yeah going back playing the MG games is pretty i must say. My girlfriend hates it but i don't care.

Sevir043718d ago

I'm stationed out here in San diego the 3 biggest base in the states as i'm told. yeah the navy hates sleepers LOL!!! which is why i hardly ever sleep. and my freaking rate doesn't even let me now that we are in the Yards... i'm an SK2 here. nice to know you guys are navy peoples as well.

You guys should sing "In The Navy" by Village People. :)

...In the navy
Yes, you can sail the seven seas while playing the PS3...

Nipplestiltskin3717d ago

Hmm.. I live and breathe for MGS, but you really need to play MGS2 several times to understand everything... especially for 4... there are contradictions, but I still feel the story line is excellent. Naysayers still need to dig deeper into the codexes and other cut scenes to really understand, before they hate! Try online and do a search for Metal Gear Solid plot guides or other... VERY helpful...

Metal Gear Online is gonna PWN so hard!

lonestarmt3718d ago

whats with the weird screen shot?? lol

EZCheez3718d ago

That's when Kojima showed off how easy it was to switch between 3rd person and 1st. Playstation magazine said you switch between the two by merely pressing the square button, and it's possible to play the entire game in either perspective. It's probably just Kojima's way to make sure he also satisfies us FPS crazy Westerners.

I cant wait for this game. Has to be GOTY. Has to be!

But I obviously need to by March or April so I don't miss out on any plot points.
