Turning your system into an art project, a grill....No duh. No one attributes crap like that as something that is "hurting" gaming.

This article sucks. Should positive attention be given to the good things being done? Probably. Is this the article to do it? Nope.

Agreed. The article doesn't touch on anything specific. The amazing thing is that the "author" of this basement blogger piece managed to take the phrase "MODZ R00L" and stretch it out into five paragraphs. LOL

You're talking about N4G! There has become little to no sense left talking about this topic. It's pure prejudice about the topic, IMO. They forget about Bethesda and Valve supporting modding, and that even Blizzard, to some extend, do. They seem to have a predetermined answer for everything about it, too.

That Rainbow Six PS3 looks awesome, though. Whoever did that did a job well done designing that.

Aside from the basic poor quality of this article, there's one thing that REALLY bugs me.

"Hell, even Bethesda is getting in on the action by releasing an official mod creation kit for Skyrim."

Um, what? They've been releasing modding tools for every Elder Scrolls since Morrowind, as well as Fallout 3 and overseeing the creation of the FNV kit. If this a 10 year-old kid who's finally gotten a good PC and decided to look around PC gaming? This isn't new...

The statement makes it sound like Bethesda's just following a trend, when in reality they are one of the ones who started the trend for developers making modding easier. It's just misleading.

Not really related to the article but the picture for it here on N4G. It reminded me of back in the day building a connector for my SNES controller to be connected to my PC with a piece of wood and some wire from some plans on the net. Good times lol.

He wasn't commenting on the crap basement blogger piece, he was having a laugh about the picture and how it reminded him of something similar he did way back when. The picture was humorous, the writing was garbage.

FWIW, you need to learn how to take criticism and use it to improve all of the things you're doing wrong instead of getting butthurt whenever someone has something negative to say. Acknowledging the flaws in your writing is the only way you'll get better, and you come off as a whiny little kid who just discovered a keyboard and an internet connection when you get all bent out of shape at those who critique you. You put your opinion and your writing skills (or lack thereof) out there for everyone to see and read and you're going to get opinions in return. It's something that comes with the territory.
