Ocarina of Time has the most epic ending. Super Mario Galaxy 2 had the most satisfying ending in any video game ever. Not just my personal opinion, almost everyone who played the game gave it a 10/10 score in 2010... As for the most entertaining ending, i dunno... maybe Portal or Portal 2 :P
What a load of crap. Halo: Reach is at number 2 while Shadow Of The Colossus is at 24? Seriously? Reach had one of the single worst storylines I've ever seen. It was predictable from midway to the finale while Shadow Of The Colossus had a shocking ending that made you question your motives. And Modern Warfare 2? Seriously? A goddamn half assed and unsatisfying cliffhanger is deserved to be number 3? Hell most of the games listed there had crap or just mediocre endings. Games like Portal 1, Mass Effect 2 (since it's the midgame of a trilogy), Fallout 3 just shouldn't be on a list like this.
Killzone 2's ending was kinda meh. It reminded me of the movie "Equilbrium"s ending. You were suppose to be shocked over that the good guy shot the bad guy without a life or death struggle.
I can't even remember Cod: BO's ending so I guess it wasn't that good.

MGS4's ending and Dark Souls ending is by far! Much better than anything I've seen. MGS4 still has a better ending than Dark Souls though.

My favourite game ending of all time is from Thief 3. Because the tied up the trilogy of perfectly, and was a loving farewell to the series and its fans.

I am in complete agreement. Kingdom Hearts games know how to end on a great note. Seriously KH1, KH2 and Birth by Sleep I cried at the end. And I never cry for any games. I am just waiting for Nomura and his team to finish Versus XIII so I can play another great game and story from him and so he can hurry and start working on Kingdom Hearts III!!!!

Fair enough, although I don't know anyone who understood the ending so you must be a special case. Your other point is to show that not every teen plays cod, but you made a list which includes 5 shooters (I'll be kind and say that red faction isn't one), imo that's not much better.

I may sound bias but every Metal Gear Solid game(not that I mentioned them all) have always been a true masterpiece from start to finish.
After seeing the Force Unleashed 2 on that list I couldn't stop laughing. That game has one of the top 50 best endings? That game was a joke and a slap in the face to everyone who bought it.

For ex; I realized that alot of game endings that have impacted me is those of when I was younger (still can't get Mega Man 3 ending music out of my head, Lol). I think that best endings need to be categorized, best satisfying ending, best shocking ending, best heroic ending, etc. My Top 5 endings (off the top of my head, no order)

Killzone 2 best ending ever IMO.
when i look at the cutscene ending Killzone 2 , i thought it was rendered. The In-game engine is very high end. Sony is gifted!
