Next-gen consoles will make open world games feel 'more alive', says Radical

Prototype 2 developer Radical Entertainment has become the latest developer to discuss next-generation platforms, speculating that their advanced tech could bear significant improvements to open world games. (Next-Gen, Prototype 2)

Radical Entertainment....hmmm

Yeah it wouldn't matter to you guys anyway, anything that is apart of Activision ends up being bad. Sorry to be blunt but it's true

Prototype was average and I be this one will be the same...the only developers which will benefit next gen with open world games are the ones who make good ones, Bethesda, Rockstar, SuckerPunch, maybe Rocksteady if they go in that direction for the next Batman game...hell even Avalanche Studios, Just Cause 2 was amazing and the map was massive imagine what they could achieve next gen

lol....I'm saying they're a crap developer and even with next gens tec they would still be crap at making open world games compared to other studios who can do those kind of games better then them.

It's not a lot to take it, so please don't BS that you don't know what I'm talking about when really...you do.

It's the attention to the little details that brings an open world to life( reason why infamous was the better game when it came out despite having a smaller world) and not the tech. This is something that these guys are seriously lacking.

Consoles don't make a game feel alive, devs do.

Not because your open worlds are dull and empty with 2km cardboard buildings means that there is not possibility of a good open world feeling alive and all. Ask Rockstar. You lazy Activision bitches.
Dovahkiin  +   949d ago
I hope that one day not only service buildings will be explorable, GTA IV had more open buildings than any open world game that I've personally seen. Entering people's houses and disrupting their dinner would be fun.

We all dream of that day :') Can't wait to start that mudering rampage with my super awesome laser shark-shaped rocket launcher, make it happen Voltion!

hmm...Yes. Lets add in them calling the police and bullets raining damage onto that house in a shootout or gang warfare battle with you using a cover system.

Can't wait for Battlefield 4. I wanna destroy everything!
