Review: Rochard (The Gamer Studio)

Rochard is an indie-developed side-scrolling adventure that capitalizes on the rat-in-a-maze concept—one who is armed with a rather advanced version of the gravity-gun from Half-Life 2. It actually comes close to re-establishing the witty formula established by Portal. An emphasis on the word close is needed, because this otherwise excellent action-title is plagued by a pretentious story filled with bland characters and needless drama. Should that stop you from buying the game? Of course not, because the game itself is stellar. (PC, PS3, Rochard, Steam) 80/100
