Capcom’s Christian Svensson comments about the possibility of a new Resident Evil that uses the classic-style gameplay elements that were the series’ trademarks before the release of Resident Evil 4.
hopefully re2 remake
Hmmm Everyone's been complaining about RE not having proper zombies and whatnot. I agree. And if RE6 has old-school zombies and overall horror-like theme and not just action, then that's all we/I need. BUT the thing is, no one remembers how the controls for the original Resident Evil games were. I went back to play RE2 and 3 recently and just.... no. If that's what you want, simply go back and play the original games.
thats a little selfish dont u think "Nathan"? beside i had no problem with going back to classic resident evil games including the gamecube remakes. my favourite being re2, its awsome and the controls i have no problem with its what made the game for me back then beside the story so i openly invite and welcome a classic style resident evil game. p.s so whats this about about no one rembering the old ones? lol
I don't understand why everyone complains about the controls, I never had a problem with them and I still don't.
The classic gameplay and camera, etc is GREAT. But going back to playing the first games after playing games with evolved controls schemes felt odd. Controlling the character needs to be updated. You moved the d-pad/analog stick based on the direction the character is currently facing INSTEAD of where you want him/her to go. Something you don't notice until you go back and play it after it's been a while.
@ Biohazard- You didn't read the article did you? @ Nathan - Everyone remembers the controls for the original games, all of us fans that have been there since day 1 want those controls again because they were never a problem to begin with. OT: After reading the article I feel obligated to torrent both RE6 and Raccoon City.
"In today's market, the broader market really demands and requires a bit more handholding than the PS1 gamer of yore. These are generally expected user experience aids in this day and age and the lack of them usually results in negative feedback/lower reviews (and subsequently, lower sales)" True story. Such a damn shame.
it's a sad true Capcom lately going for money i liked pre-rendered backgrounds, fixed camera angle, limited saving - that's what makes a perfect survival horror well then, i'll stay with Silent Hill
You'd be foolish to think that Konami doesn't know the same things that Capcom does.
well, SH is more of the survival horror adventure than RE which is more of the action game
A remake of RE2 and RE3 would be awesome. Like how the original one was remade was similar to the first but about 70% of it was new.
Cmon capcom! Pretty please?!
It wouldn't surprise me if they did Capcom is milking RE. There are 3 new RE games this year.
How about REmake on Xbox Live or PSN, maybe Outbreak HD.
I would love that remake is awesome and zero but from what i hear nintendo owns them.
The guy makes some great point. And when you think back to RE Zero, the last game before RE4, there were many reviews questioning series and screaming for an overhaul.
I want RE 2 & 3 remake like RE 1 remake in GC.
i think a hd collection will be on the cards, most of the other big titles have one already. i would buy it and im sure most of you guys would too. So if capcom want some cash release re hd collection, ill give 30 quid for it.
I was just about to say....er I mean type that. I'd truly be surprised of any remake of Resident Evil 2 or 3 reared it's head but HD collection isn't as farfetched....
