Something pretty exciting happened a few days ago. Tim Schafer obtained, though Kickstarter, 1,7mil $ in pledges for an unnammed, unspecified point and click adventure game no one wants to publish or fund. If this picks up as a trend, we will finally see more auteur-driven games instead of publisher-driven ones. Auteurs like David Jaffe, Tetsuya Takahashi, Swery65, Hideo Kojima, Hidetaka Miyazaki, Yokoo Taro, and such could have what this medium really needs: more creative freedom.
Hideo Kojima is widely known as a video games auteur, but what are his best games outside the Metal Gear franchise?
During the latest episode of HideoTube, Kojima talked a bit about Physint and the other projects he's currently working on.
That is a fantastic interview. Physint is a love letter to the fans. What a legend.
I'm guessing OD will also be coming to PlayStation, as the trailer states for all players lol
I really really miss MSG. For me its not a PS gen if there is no MSG. So this news is a God send for me.
Death Stranding 2’s ship will be a core mechanic in the new PS5 game, as Hideo Kojima reveals key details during a fresh HideoTube episode.
This idea could work very well for us gamers by coming together to fund the software we all want to play.and plus would bring back creative titles without major publishers limitations.
Im all for this if people can get together and get the proper games voted for. Games like Shenmue 3, Killer Instinct, Powerstone 3, Or a new Battle arena Toshinden. I hope to hear more about these kickstarts in the future.
