Personally, I think the controls are complicated because MMA is complicated. When uneducated fans think they are just "hugging", trust me, it's a game of chess using every single inch of space for leverage. It's very complicated and intricate what they are doing. Why should I be able to master that in 10 mins in a game? That's not realistic to me. It's probably difficult to get the characters to do what is needed without using every button.

This is just my choice. I'm not saying its better because of this. I'm just saying this is how I like it.
