IGN: Thatgamecompany, the studio behind Flow and Flower, is one of the most revered indie developers in the entire gaming industry. And PlayStation 3 gamers know their unique forays into the gaming space all too well.
Now we wait...
An original non-fps title?...I'm there
Thatgamecompany, I'm there. Seriously, someone (Sony) needs (to buy them or) to give this company a big budget retail title.
Oh! Finally we have something that seems a release date :D
Why No love for Xbox live?
Because they are a Sony 1st party? EDIT @below Oh ok gotcha :)
They're not first party, more so second party, like how Insomoniac used to be :)
yeah, 2nd party. Journey is the 3rd game in a 3 game contract with Sony. it is now up to them whether they make a multiplat game, but i can't see them wanting to make a LIVE game if MS insists on it being exclusive, cheaper or better than the PSN version... they know they'd be pissing on their userbase big time
Insomniac wad never 2nd party, they were always 3rd party.
Because Sony inked a 3 game deal with TGC. Flow, Flower and Journey.
This game is too good for xbox live
@josephayal Because if it doesn't involve shooting, big guys with guns or dancing in front of a motion controlled camera Xbox live players want nothing to do with it.
Awesome. The Closed Beta was incredible. Already sold on this.
Damn didn't know there was a closed beta happening. Just how huge is it??
For those of you that VATSIM (global multiplayer flight sim), this reminds of it.
WTF? How does a sh1tty flight simulator remind you of this?
Randomly meeting up with people (a blip on your radar screen) with no real way to communicate with them; In vatsim you fly on a global scale -- here are the players online now: http://vatview.com/vatview....
Regardless of the reviews, this will be my first PSN/SEN purchase in a long time :)
That's all I needed to know. I've had it on my wishlist since I first saw footage and heard the idea behind the game. This is a must buy, for sure. :EDIT: Oh, and about the chat up top about this being the last PS3 exclusive game they make; I don't think this is going to be the case. TGC has stated before it would be too difficult to develop for two platforms, so they'll likely be sticking to only one. And the obvious choice would be Sony as they support, and even encourage, the development of more creative titles. I don't think they'd want to go and stab Sony in the back after they funded their outlandish (and fantastic) ventures.
Is it like 'From Dust'? Because that game was very enjoyable :D
Not really. In Journey you actually control the character, and From dust plays like a strategy game where you manage and position things to make it through the game while Journey is simply pressing onward with your character through the desert with the goal of making it to the mountain.
I've never bought a PSN game before but this and Malicious will definitely be the first.
try Flower ..it's also an incredible title..
you should also try flow. man that game was mesmerizingly unique.
Just don't release it the same week as Mass Effect 3 or Silent Hill: Downpour, I implore you.
Don't think it will matter for the most part. People who've been waiting for this will Day One it, then word will spread to the less informed.
On March i'm going on a Journey ^_^
Time to charge my account.
i saw some gameplay and am ready for that experience that only these types of games can bring just like flower.
