Kingdoms of Amalur: Reckoning | DualShockers Review

Chad Awkerman of DualShockers writes: "One thing I’ve learned over the years of being a gamer is to manage your expectations. Developers rarely deliver the sometimes grandiose game features they promise and, even if they do, it’s delivered in a half-hearted or lackluster manner. Reading about and seeing Kingdoms of Amalur: Reckoning demoed over the last nine months or so on various occasions seemed to prepare me for the worst. It was promised to be everything I would personally want in a Western RPG, and I felt it was too good to be true; this game would never live up to the expectations the developers were setting for it.

FINALY a good game to enjoy!^4

3 hours in and..whatta game. Atmosphere and gameplay. *smack* Top-notch. Graphics are tested and well used. No experimenting and I find that to be a good thing. Just like Dragon Age:Origins was. But better feel and the controlls are instant in reaction.

Take that with a compelling story (my opinion) and tantalising playthrough...I can only see myself waste some weeks with this.

Take God of war + RPG + Awesomeness...I call it epic, just 3hrs in.

Good times

I'm now six hours in and think it's amazing. It's all about the Chak-Chak-Chakrams.

My favorite weapons too so far. My wife is starting the game tonight, she just finished TorchLight and wants Amalur to be her next conquest!!

This game is way to awesome for any RPG fan to pass up. I hope the people who are making rash decisions about this really sit down and give it a shot. If you like responsive, over the top action and a great story (IMO) then hop into the Well of Souls and take control of your fate and destiny!!!
