Soul Calibur 5 doesn't offer enough content for gamers looking for a solid single-player experience.
This is probably the only reason I haven't picked the game up yet. Can't quite bring myself to do it.
It's one of those games that I would buy if there weren't other game's that I would like coming out soon. I'm on the fence for it - and in that sense, I find myself in a very similar position to you.
I bought it. Arcade is great and so is character creator and online. It's great. Imagine if it was an rpg with the fighting?!
Are there any fighting games left where the single player is enough on its own?
Character Creation and Online, it's really all I need. That was one of the reasons I actually enjoyed SC4 as much as I did even though it was the worst game in the series in all other ways. I would like to see the single player filled up though, but it's not a deal breaker at all.
exactly. not sure why people buy fighters for singleplayer use, so odd haha, but if they enjoy themm like that then w/e. i got 42 hours in week 1 so im havin fun with it
the game is a disappointment on almost every level even the smallest yet very important of details.. you can't even change the timer in PvP mode to infinite! so if you're playing offline with friends a match cannot go longer than 60 seconds! which is bullshit.
60 seconds is more than enough in soul calibur to kill someone, also to all the people the whole main point of fighting game is to get better and beat your opponent if you guys looking for some big single player your playing the wrong genre.
i'm talking about the PvP mode timer how did you come up with the single player experience? with all due respect, read properly next time and think before you say somthing lacking. the game is forcing you to spam your victory or finish it within 60 seconds regardless to how you play. in past games we used to set the timer to infinite to take our game into a different level of strategizing our fight and get into the neurves of each other knowing that the only way out is by K.O. the match with your own skill, not some bullshit timer. the limited timer is justified online but not offline.
^ This has to be the stupidest comment I ever read.
