TSA writes " How long does the PS Vita take to load a game? Well, it’s dependent on the game, of course, but I thought I’d do a quick check and actually time it, seeing how lots of people are asking."
I'm more interested in the loading times during the game rather than the ones to load the game up...
I'm more interested in the loading times comparison between physical and digital version of games.
Physical is faster but only by a about a second.
Yes loading times are a bit long. But what do you want to play Uncharted or Angry Birds?
This Vita smells of a flop. It cant load fast and not a replacement for a smartphone. Why buy it, for UC Abbys, no way. We have here another bad decision based on unresearched consumer demand.
I suppose you did the research on consumer demand? Cell phones don't exactly have lightning speed load time for launching simple games like fruit ninja. Who claimed that Vita was a replacement for a cell phone any way? Vita has been known to not make phone calls unless over skype. Vita is a gaming console. Troll harder
you sound like an impetuous child screaming because mummy wouldn't buy you an ice-cream. Jesus fella, don't embarrass yourself like that
No need for name calling Gribble. I don't agree with mokopa, but name calling is uncalled for. It makes you look just as bad, if not worse.
I am concerned about us gamers being shoved something we dont want. Currently a smartphone can play games and do the following at once: -Make calls while playing a game, HD video, FM radio, browsing and chatting on BM / Facebook / Twitter/ Whatsupp. basically the smartphone is a lazyman`s machine. -Listen to these limitations of Vita (From electronista news): The upcoming PS Vita handheld console from Sony will be limited from web browsing while a game is running in the background. Users will have the ability to check friends' lists, music and Twitter, but can't browse the web while in a game. At the same time, only one PlayStation Network account can be set up on the device at the same time. The existing PSP also only syncs with one user account, and Sony has confirmed switching it over requires a factory reset. At the same time, users will need special Windows software in order to sync data such as multimedia files onto the device, as it won't be recognized by the OS as a mass storage drive. -You mean to tell me that Sony said well if you want to connect with a PC/MAC wait for an APP, otherwise your screwed. -As far as i know, android also does link your phone to an account, but I need no factory resert to change accounts. -Hardware- Well, the Vita sports 4 cores of ARM cortex 9 Mcore and 4 core SGX543MP4+. Basically this is a pumped up smartphone.Who is to say that Samsung/Apple wont decide to put the same cores in their hardware. We know 4 cores CPUs are coming later this year. -Conlusion: U can believe all you want, but currently the Vita is not an essential gaming device on the go for consumers, smartphones are. Here is a test, If an Iphone 4s and Vita slipped from your hand, which one would you grab first. Lost games or lost contacts/games/life, makes you think.

Lost games or lost contacts/games/life, makes you think.' i have to say, that's a pretty nifty way of putting it, although they'd have to fall out of your hand simultaneously for it to be a viable argument. in that case it would probably be the phone for me because the phone would be more expensive to replace and i could download all of the games i'd lost on the Vita again. here's one for you: if you found yourself stuck on a desert island for years and you could pick either a phone or a handheld for entertainment, what would you pick? the device that plays Uncharted Golden Abyss and LBP Vita, or a device that plays Angry birds and My Virtual Girl?

" Uncharted Golden Abyss and LBP Vita are just a launch titles. I would pick a phone. In this day and age, no one has time for handheld games, is all about staying connected. Phones have great free games that dont include Angry Bird. There is a whole list of RPGs, Sports, Action games, E.T.C. Just because people are brainwashed into Angry Birds does not mean we dont check whats available.
not bad but i dnt care too much about load times once it aint absolutly horible im mostly smoking a joint before playing anyway so im calm :D
