With releases like Battlefield 3, Resistance 3, Deus Ex: Human Revolution and Modern Warfare 3, it would be a shame to say that it wasn’t one of the biggest years for the genre that we have seen in a while. It had a good set-up, but the basic shooting mechanics, poor hit-detection, underwhelming set pieces, and terrible AI made sure it was a failure. It's like the writer knew what he was doing, but the actual developers were drunk.

My review would say heck no to that idea. At the same time, it's not like the other 2011 shooters I've played are as good as critics lead us to believe (BF3, MW3, R3, Brink).

The game was good, not great. The multiplayer was damn good..
