Returning to San Andreas: The RC Plane Horror Story

"As I was organizing my shelves today, my eyes were drawn to a particular plastic case that seemed to be calling to me.

Look away, thought I. Continuing to organize my games, I found my eyes continually drawn back to the game cover.

Again, I looked away. After several minutes, I succumbed: today was the day that I would yet again attempt the remote control plane mission in Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas, a mission that is ten times worse than the stories you’ve heard.

If there were such a place as video game hell, this mission would comprise its eternity.

It’s an inexplicable horror that should be wiped from the face of the Earth…and yet I knew one day I’d return to it, reluctantly punishing myself all over again."

The story is too old to be commented.

There have been many times I'm playing a game level that simply is poorly designed over and over getting angrier and angrier but it almost becomes personal. When/if I get past it I don't feel elation, instead there is relief and a sort of numbness where I realize I just wasted some if my life and a lot of my energy on something that was not worth it.

Bad level design either on purpose to make things harder or by accident leaves a sour taste.

Ha I feel the same
This mission was pretty bad
Anyway I was playing FF13-2. One of the casino area requires you to get 777 and after another 777 to get a fragment. This is really annoying. There is no specific trick or anything, it;'s all based on luck. I read on PS3trophies forums of some people keeping their consoles on for days straight just having the slots on auto play.

Wouldn't say it's as bad as this one, but just the idea that some developers would even think stuff like this is a good idea.

If you are talking about the red slot images those are nines not seven. You have to win 777.777 in coins in one sitting to get the fragment. The guide sayes do not use auto play. With auto play you win only 30% of the time.

I know a lot of people love them, but that's kind of the feeling that I get when I play any part of Dark/Demon's Souls. I get through a tough part, and instead of feeling joy or relief, I just think, "Oh god, things are only going to get harder" :(

I don't have enough time to go back to my old games :(

Too many new ones!

Hahah that mission was terrible, It took me weeks. It was worth it though, San Andreas ending was great.

Oh god, I remember having to use the slow motion cheat to get passed that mission, and it was still incredibly frustrating.
