NowGamer: Joel and Ellie set to face human foes in The Last Of Us, new images reveal.
The more I see of this, the more it looks like a game version of The Road. Which is a good thing.
The road was a great movie, I hope the game is similar in some ways. Edit: Do we know if its an open world yet?
can't see it being open world. In fact I think ND has already said it won't be, just that there's open-ish environments to explore.
No, it's not open world. Just more open than Uncharted.
wonder if this screens are doctered like the last screens that was admiited by ND themselves. But still looks really nice. Game looks interesting some survival game hope ellie is not a annoying AI.
The only thing that ND said was "doctored" was a bit of the aliasing. Other than that, the fidelity you're getting from the visuals is what it will look like.
Ive spend over 4k for a pc that runs bf3 on ultra specs and the ps3 with way less specs is able to run a game this beautiful is amazing. It doesnt look as good as bf3 on ultra but it looks good. I have to commend these 1st party devs that makes these beautiful games with low specs.
your either a liar, an idiot or running bf3 at 400fps cuz my pc was 800 and it runs bf3 on ultra at 65fps average...4k for a pc is overkill. u must have atleast 4 high end video cards. and i still dont see why everyone is freaking out about this games graphics. sure the lighting is good and models look good but the textures are muddy and bland! i know its still in early stages but uncharted 3 looks way better...
@ hellraiser I can't believe that you are jealous and upset that I have a better pc than you. It's ok to be less fortunate than others but there isn't a need to hate. There are too many ways I can prove what's in my rig so if you want to be upset that's your thing. You build a cheap rig on a budget where as I built a rig sparing no expense. I'm not telling you what your rig could do but It's highly unlikely your rig could run battlefield 3 on ultra settings. My video cards alone are over a thousand quid. I think my mother board alone was the cost of your rig. I also play my games on a 65 inch led teli. To each his own but I wanted a nice computer to play bf3 on ultra so I build a computer that can without compromise. My hobby is gaming and I also own every console except a pippin, neo geo, and a few ataris from the 70s The last of us looks stunning and I can't imagine how beautiful a game would look if naughty dog had specs as high as my pc.
I have a GTX 560 ti and it runs BF3 at ultra and 1920x1080 (1080p), never drops below 30fps, hits 60fps alot. The GTX 560 ti was about $220 last time I checked. That "4k" computer sounds like a waste or a lie. I don't even think I could use that much money on the highest end stuff if I tried. Even a tri-SLI GTX 580 rig would be like, $2,300. And one 580 is more than enough for anything.
4k PC? Haha, you were ripped off mate. I have two GTX 570 cards in my PC and it didn't cost over a grand. Frankly I would of been ok with just one.
Someone's stating the obvious...
ignored, I hate that overused life form
So it looks like they are going for a "breakdown of society" type of scenario to go along with the Fungi zombies and other horrid creatures.
I for one am quite excited for The Last Of Us. Those who complain about zombies, so what? I don't care what I'm killing as long as the game is good.
Something tense, and nervy - the anit-Uncharted - and a thinking man's action game? Bring it on.
they arent zombies
At first I didn't consider them as zombies. However, since the infection is based on the cordyceps, which is known to control a certain species mind until it can find a way to spread the infection even further. They are in fact brain-dead but since they're animated nonetheless, it would safe to assume them to be "zombies". Just not your typical kind. Heck, even the news articles called it "zombie-ants" with mind-control fungi: http://news.nationalgeograp...
Totally floored by the graphics and level of detail definitely at the top of my list.
Man...this is going to be great.
