Rainbow Six: Patriots – [Play Vault] Preview

TPV's Phil: "Rainbow Six: Patriots has been announced and like many before, it is directly chasing down the title of the COD killer. Creative director David Sears has already put claims out there saying that the Rainbow Six team want the shooter crown back. Although in the real world it probably (never say never) won’t achieve this, it does seem to be quite an interesting game. After the success of the previous Rainbow Six entries and the fact that they were utterly brilliant, there is now a lot of hype behind this game and from what I’ve personally seen so far, you definitely have reason enough to start getting excited."

Since when did anyone think Tom Clancy was a tough guy?

I also dont understand his problem with Ubi's (admittedly frequent) use of the TC name. The games are all military themed and take place in similar toned universe.

OT, looking forward to this. I've loved RB6 for ages and even one of the few who liked Vegas. Tactical without being overly anal, and didnt get enough credit for its (superior) cover system which all went to another game.

Cant get enough of Tom.

Ask 9/10 people who Tom Clancy is and they will say some tough dude who makes videogames, which is far from the truth. Ubisoft i feel simply label all their shooters with his name and it's pretty weird to this how many games have his name slapped on the front.

The game does look awesome though :)
