Uncharted: Golden Abyss Only Vita Game Not Cheaper via PSN

TQ: Sony recently confirmed that the downloadable Vita games purchased via the PlayStation store would be cheaper than their retail counterparts. However, after a recent PlayStation 3 system update (4.1) added Vita games to the PSN, one game in particular remains at the same price as the retail version. Check out the image.

The story is too old to be commented.

We will see the prices of the UK PSN store for vita games in a few hours when the store updates it better be cheaper sony u always screw the UK gamer we have had no trade in offers unlike the US for the Vita and they have the option to buy it a week early

retail version for me then

The retarded nature of this article is that it failed to check the price on PSN. The game is available to purchase on PSN and its selling for 44.99 while gamestop is selling it for 49.99.

Sony's PSN downloadables are always priced the same as retail. Infamous 2 was 59.99 only thing cut out is state tax. Honestly people did you think digital games where gonna be cheaper then retail? Look at steam MW3 and skyrim are still $60. All a digital future will bring is a greater profit to devs with no real benefit to us.

It was all ready announced that the digital games will be cheaper than the retail ones. So do some reading before you start talking. There is a 10% discount on the Psn versions over the retail vita games. This article is about that.

You are correct. This is why the topic is talking about Uncharted: Abyss since it's one of the rarities where Vita games are the same price on PSN. $50 for a downloadable portable game is too expensive IMO.

Oh and Skyrim on Steam is currently 33% off:

Now tell me, when will we see Skyrim on PSN for 33% off?

Downloading a big retail game can be satisfying sometimes, especially when it's at a cheaper price. But looking at the technical specs of Uncharted:GA and the price and space of the memory cards, it's just better to buy the cartridge. Plus you won't have to wait for 20 minutes or more for the 4GB to transfer every time you move it around.

That's just my opinion though, as I'm going to buy smaller games through "SEN", and purchase retail titles in the store.

It will not be cheaper in the end my friend. you see the size of the game right? 3.2 gigs. That means your gonna have to buy an 8 gig memory stick just to play it as a 4 gig will not be nearly enough. 4 gig really ends up being like 3.5 gig then game saves and possible DLC, then if you want other games..... yeah the PSN verison is really gonna make it cheaper. This would have worked if they included on board memory like the PSP Go

not worth it nintendo said they will do full retail games 4 download and the 3ds and wiiu are equipped 4 it but they will be cheaper than retail.

You sound like as if you know that Nintendo already done it and kept they're word ?! Did I miss the wii u launch?!

MasterCornholio2325d ago (Edited 2325d ago )

That is very odd because in a YouTube video I saw the price of uncharted at 44.99$.

Which is why I find this article hard to believe.

kidkash212325d ago

there's your link dude and you're right it's actually 44.99.
