PS3 Matching PS2 Sales Momentum

Most analysts are in agreement that the Sony PS3 hasn't sold anywhere near the expected quantities up to now. Howard Stringer, Sony's CEO disagrees however, and claims that the sales momentum is matching that which the Playstation 2 experienced in it's early days.

Sorry but this article is both old and inaccurate.

OLD: This article is from Nov 20th, almost a month ago.

INACCURATE: also, some idiot at the end of the article implied that 200 million ps2's have been sold. 120 million-ish have been sold.

I suspect if you take the first 12months of PS3 sales in Jap/US then in march next year add 12months of EU sales the number will be near the 10million mark
