Senko No Ronde is to get a sequel, Japanese developer G.Rev has announced.
A post on G.Rev's blog confirms that the 2D shoot-'em-up specialist is working on the imaginatively named Senko no Ronde 2, with the game due to hit Japanese arcades sometime during 2008.
No mention was made of whether it will appear on a console, although if history is anything to go by, we firmly expect a home port to happen sooner rather than later.
Which console this could be for is open to debate, though. After a stint in the Japanese arcades, a 360 version of first game was released in 2006 (eventually appearing over here this summer), becoming something of a favourite among hardcore gamers.
